After an effort led by Congressman Pete Aguilar (D-CA), the House Appropriations Committee on Wednesday approved an amendment to protect DACA program recipients who are active-duty military or veterans from deportation.
A bill to rename the downtown San Bernardino post office after the late Jack Brown passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a voice vote Monday, July 16, clearing its path to the U.S. Senate.
A pair of Inland Empire nonprofits received a combined $635,000 in grants to help finance down-payment assistance for new homeowners and other services.
“The biggest barrier to homeownership is that down payment money,” said Dawn Lee, executive director of Neighborhood Housing Services of the Inland Empire.
