Federal grant of $145,351 gives new hope to San Bernardino youth program

U.S. Rep. Pete Aguilar has announced $145,351 in federal grant funding for Operation New Hope, a San Bernardino nonprofit that specializes in connecting underserved youth with resources to help them find long-term success.

The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Justice and will help Operation New Hope connect at-risk young people with education and resources to successfully enter the workforce.

“Economic opportunity is the key to making sure our young people can live safe and productive lives as members of our community,” Aguilar said. “I’ll continue working to secure federal funding for these types of initiatives to make sure young people in San Bernardino and across the Inland Empire have the resources they need to succeed.”
