Rep. Aguilar Announces Over $270,000 to Revolutionize Air Launch Rockets
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Rep. Pete Aguilar announced he secured $274,996 in federal funding for Fenix Space Inc., a local startup focused on transforming rapid global delivery. This National Science Foundation (NSF) funding will help expand and revolutionize orbital launch and hypersonic flight testing in the Inland Empire.
“San Bernardino can be immensely proud of the contribution our community is making in the aviation field through the work being done at Fenix Space,” said Rep. Pete Aguilar. “The groundbreaking work of our local businesses help make the Inland Empire one of the fastest growing communities in California and a hub for high-paying jobs in advanced manufacturing. I look forward to seeing what’s to come from Fenix Space as a result of this funding.”
