Representative Pete Aguilar was most recently re-elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 to represent the 31st Congressional District of California. In addition to being a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Representative Aguilar was chosen to serve in the leadership positions of Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, Whip of the New Democrat Coalition and Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee - the committee responsible for allocating funds for all government programs and operations. There, he serves on the Subcommittees on Defense; Transportation, Housing & Urban Development; and Homeland Security.

Representative Aguilar is the founder of the bipartisan E-Commerce Caucus and is also a member of the Pro-Choice Caucus, LGBT Equality Caucus, Work for Warriors Caucus, Veterans Jobs Caucus, Native American Caucus and the Steel Caucus.
