On Wednesday, August 18^th, Rep. Pete Aguilar hosted a virtual roundtable meeting with Inland Empire nonprofit partners, local government officials and federal housing experts to provide information on emergency rental assistance programs available to San Bernardino County residents. As part of the American Rescue Plan, Congressional Democrats and the White House secured over $21 billion in direct rent and utility assistance funding to be distributed by state and local governments. Wednesday’s roundtable focused on providing residents with the information needed to access these funds.

“I helped pass the American Rescue Plan to make sure Inland Empire residents have the resources they need to make it to the other side of this crisis. That means making sure that members of our community can keep a roof over their heads without fear of eviction during this crisis. I’m grateful to our partners on the ground in the Inland Empire who are working to get this funding out to the families who need it most, and I’ll continue to advocate for resources for our community,” said Aguilar.
