Senate approves naming San Bernardino post office after former Stater Bros. leader Jack Brown
The U.S. post office in downtown San Bernardino is a signature away from being renamed after the late Stater Bros. leader, Jack Brown.
Four months after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 2979, a bill introduced last year by Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-Redlands, the Senate last week followed suit, clearing the proposal’s path to the president.
The bill, which would rename the U.S. post office at 390 W. Fifth St. as the “Jack H. Brown Post Office Building,” was cosponsored by every member of the California House delegation.
