Rep. Pete Aguilar will have a key role in next year’s Democratic House
The 31st District Congressman ushered in new laws, held numerous resource and job fairs, helped constituents sort out issues with federal agencies and, in November, won re-election.
As Aguilar heads into the next session, which starts Jan. 3, he will be part of a Democratic majority that will control the House of Representatives for the first time in his four-year tenure in congress. Aguilar also is expected to be Chief Deputy Whip, giving him — and residents of the 31st District — a seat at the leadership table.
