Rep. Aguilar Visits Habitat for Humanity Home
Rep. Pete Aguilar made the third stop on his Community Project Funding tour at a Habitat for Humanity home in Grand Terrace. The tour was launched to highlight the importance of finalizing federal investments into the community projects Aguilar successfully included in the House’s fiscal year 2022 funding package, which now awaits action by the Senate. Today’s stop highlights the need for funding to launch the Habitat for Humanity Veterans Blitz Build, which will provide homes for Inland Empire veterans in need of affordable housing.
“Habitat for Humanity has a long history of helping families in our region achieve their dreams of homeownership. I was proud to support their request for Community Project Funding, and I look forward to seeing this funding come to our community so that we can help San Bernardino County veterans and their families build their lives in their own homes right here in our community,” said Aguilar.
“Securing funding for a Veterans Blitz Build in San Bernardino County will help honorably discharged veterans establish affordable homeownership and improve the quality of life for them and their families. Our San Bernardino Habitat affiliate is excited to have this support from Congressman Aguilar, and we look forward to assisting veterans and their families within our serving area,” said David Hahn, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity, San Bernardino Area.
