Rep. Aguilar Presents the Children’s Fund with $100,000 to Help Vulnerable Children in the Inland Empire
SAN BERNARDINO, CA — This week, Rep. Pete Aguilar presented the Children’s Fund with $100,000 in Community Project Funding he secured to support displaced and vulnerable children in the Inland Empire. These federal resources will help expand access to trauma-informed mental health care services in the region.
“When the Children’s Fund came to me with their vision of how to help children in our community, I immediately was on board,” said Rep. Aguilar. “It takes all of us working together to help children reach their full potential – with access to resources to help them if they need it. This funding does just that. I appreciate all the work Children’s Fund does in the Inland Empire and look forward to seeing all the good they will do with this funding.”
“Children’s Fund is pleased and proud to receive Community Project Funding supporting the 50,000 plus youth we serve across San Bernardino county each year in their time of greatest need,” said Neal Waner, Board Chair. “For over 30 years we have provided vulnerable children support, opportunity and hope. This grant will allow us to continue that work, we are honored to receive it.”
