Rep. Aguilar Awards $800,000 to Habitat For Humanity

Community Project Funding Supports Four New Homes for Local Disabled Veterans

SAN BERNARDINO, CA — This week, Rep. Pete Aguilar awarded San Bernardino Habitat for Humanity $800,000 to build four new homes for honorably discharged veterans. The funding comes from the Fiscal Year 2022 Community Project Funding Rep. Aguilar secured in this year’s budget.

“I’m thrilled to have secured $800,000 to help build four new homes for honorably discharged veterans here in San Bernardino,” Rep. Aguilar said. “I’ve been a supporter of Habitat for Humanity for many years and their mission has never been more important. Increasing access to local affordable housing is a top priority and I’ll continue to look for ways to secure much-needed funding.”

Rep. Aguilar secured roughly $7 million for Inland Empire projects that increase access to health care, support youth mental health services and improve public safety, among other priorities.
