WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. Pete Aguilar issued the following statement after being appointed to serve on the House Committee on Appropriations.

“I’m honored to be appointed to serve on House Committee on Appropriations. I came to Congress to ensure communities like mine have the resources they need to thrive. I will continue to be a strong advocate for families, schools, infrastructure and economic opportunity for all, not just a select few.”

“As Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans threaten to enact deep cuts to Social Security and Medicare, this committee has never been more vital than it is today. I am committed to working with Democrats and Republicans to invest in communities across the country, create good-paying jobs, strengthen our national defense, support security assistance for Israel and ensure our law enforcement agencies have the resources they need to protect the American people.”
