Today, Rep. Pete Aguilar was assigned to the Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy, Water Development, and Related Agencies and the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies on the powerful House Appropriations Committee.

“I’m pleased to be assigned to these subcommittees, both of which deal with critical issues in the Inland Empire community,” said Rep. Aguilar. He continued, “My role on these subcommittees will allow me to be a stronger advocate for San Bernardino County to invest in projects affecting our roads, rails and bridges, to better deal with California’s historic drought and to address the need for affordable housing. We have a lot of work ahead and I’m ready to get started.”

In addition to serving on the Appropriations Committee, Rep. Aguilar will also serve as an Assistant Whip in the House Democratic Caucus and as the Whip of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus in the 115^th Congress.
